By 2 and 3 not filling the corners we have created a bunch of "single gaps". Pass thru single gaps, driving double and triple gaps.
By sliding the 2 and 3 to the corners, now we have created two double gaps.
By making the "thru" cut 4 has created a triple gap for 1 to drive. 5 relocations because the ball is being driven at him. This puts x5 in a tough spot....does he help on the ball or stay with 5?
1 makes the pass to 4 "Toss" and then makes the "slice cut". Because 1 makes the slice cut, 4 now has a triple gap to drive. 5 stays where he is because 4 is driving away from 4.
Once the first domino falls we want to maintain a 1 guard front as often as possible and we want the 2 and 3 to be diagonal of each other. If the ball is being driven at 2 or 3, they hold their corner ("stay patient"). If the ball is being driven away from 2 or 3 they will lift to the FT line extended.
Pass from the slot to slot (rail to rail) creates a triple gap for 4 to get downhill. 4 is trying to "rack it" with an at the rim finish.
Dribble handoff with an interchange on the weak side.
3 will get pushed away from the ball. Once 3 realizes 2 is getting the ball below the FT line, 3 will fill behind the ball (tail lights).
4 makes a thru cut to create a triple gap for 1 to drive. 5 needs to relocate to stay "opposite" the ball.
