Nike Renew Elevate Review
Pros:
The traction pattern is durable and performs
Supportive upper materials
Cons:
Materials feel and look cheap
Performance of the Nike Renew Elevate:
The Renew Elevate is one of Nikes cheapest budget models, does it show in its performance?
The traction pattern works well on outdoor courts and clean indoor courts. On dirty courts, you will need to wipe off the dust from time to time.
The cushioning setup is divisive: one reviewer thought the Renew foam was soft and bouncy while another thought that it was too firm and didn't provide enough impact protection.
The Mesh materials look and feel cheap but provide enough support and feel comfortable on-foot.
Overall, for only $80 you get a decent performer, comparable to the KD Trey 5 VIII, but a little more supportive and with lower material quality.

For $80, this is a beastly performer. This is the best budget model available right now, even better than the KD Trey 5 VIII.

For only $80, I can't complain. The materials feel budget and the Renew cushioning isn't as nice as in the KD Trey 5 VIII. But the fit, traction, and support are good.

These were actually my first proper basketball shoes :)
Great budget shoe, specially when playing outdoors. I would also say they are ok to play on dusty courts as I didn’t perceive much difference.
The traction, cushion, support, and fit are all great, specially considering the price of the shoes. Durability is possibly the best in budget shoes but the materials aren’t so high quality.
I would definitively recommend them for hoopers with a low budget that play mainly outdoors.

The shoe was great to me, the durability is amazing. I played in the literal street for 5 months and it still was able to compete indoors, but it did take a beating though. The cushion was good for the price of the shoe, materials not so much. The heel of the shoe has like a cardboard feeling piece in it and that get weird, but unnoticeable in game

The stopping power is good and I had no issue with sliding out on the outdoor courts I played on.

The traction is really good. On clean courts, you will have no problems at all. On dirty courts, dust will get stuck in-between the grooves of the traction pattern and you will need to wipe from time to time.

The foam in the heel is very soft and gives you a nice subtle bounce. The forefoot was super nice in the beginning but bottoms out a little bit after a while. I would take Nike Renew over Phylon every day of the week - one of my favorite cushioning setup I've played in recently.

The Renew cushioning feels much firmer compared to the KD Trey 5 VIII. There is only minimal impact protection but you get a lot of court feel.

The Swoosh on the lateral side cages in your feet. Lateral containment was very good, and the flat base is very stable on cuts.

Ho heel slippage thanks to the external heel counter and no side-to-side movement on the footbed because of the Nike Swoosh that acts as a barrier on the lateral side. The base is wide enough to provide stability on cuts and crosses.

There is a little bit of dead space on the top of the toe box - but this never bothered me too much. Players with flat feet might have issues because of the rubber that comes up on the medial side.
